I remember mentioning how horrid this movie looked several months ago whilst browsing through upcoming releases, but had no idea just HOW horrible it must be.
The Ex, despite having a May theatrical release, is already being released on DVD today after making just
$4 million at the box office (i never even saw it fly through theaters, and i tend to at least somewhat keep up with these things). Can't find any info about how much it cost to make, but I'm fairly sure $4 million wouldn't even pay for the cast of this film (unless they were all severely underpaid) but at least they didn't even try to market it. Also, this may be one of the fastest DVD releases in history... I say good call on my part.
It made around a third as much as Zach Braff's horrid reinvention of The Last Kiss, so I will assume that it is 2/3 worse which would make The Ex completely unwatchable. Just thinking about it makes me laugh in mockery of the shambles that Zach Braff's career is about to become. After all, "Scrubs" can't possibly last much longer no matter how desperate NBC is for hit shows. Man that felt good. I miss analyzing the media.
