Christmas Progress
So far... 5 people done. 1 thing for my mom and 1 for my dad. 2 for crizl... none for Tacchi >_<... and my cards are ordered (yet not shipped out... *grumbles*) Jo's stuff already shipped out and she should get it soon. I'll have to send out Chris's soon as well. It's just a cel, but he's in Canada. Stupid international shipping price increase. I sent off Jo's things (she's in England). 2 lbs, approx. $20 worth of stuff. $28 to ship. eep. Next year, maybe an Amazon.co.uk gift certificate... Still need something for my cousins Erin and Sara (probably a gift card for Sara) and my aunt Linda. Heck, maybe gift cards for all.
This week, I need to start baking cookies. I was going to do that on Wed, but now apparently I'm shopping so that's no good. I guess... this weekend. :( I'm making at least 4 kinds, I also have to decorate the 6 dozen or so sugar cutouts... and I might make another. There's a really intriguing coconut and chocolate rolled cookie I found. hmmm...
This weekend, put up one of the trees. We have two. Because we have so many ornaments. It took me two and a half hours just to OPEN the ornaments. ;-; Then I have to find the perfect spot for all of them because I'm anal. Oh and there's an order. Some have to be hung together. You have to find spots for them first. Then the heavy ones, and some are ones that hang between two branches. Then you make space for the tall ones, then put all the ugly ones in the back. THEN fill in as needed with the 300+ left over (oh god I wish I was kidding). And finally finish up with the clip ons to fill in the empty spaces (BTW... there are no empty spaces. ^^;; ) Found Cocoa's ornament with her picture in it. :( I almost didn't hang it, I don't hang Squeaky's anymore, but in the end I went ahead with it. There's some things I just can't let go of yet...
The other tree, goes in the back room and has all my "ugly" ornaments. All my Star Wars and Disney stuff. The Star Wars ornaments ARE ugly. I don't deny it. But I love them. :) Though, too be honest Hallmark, you better get your butt in gear and make me a Lando Calrissian ornament next year else there be hell to pay. Heck, they even made miniatures of the Max Rebo Band!!!! But no Lando?????? Life is unfair. Anyway, so I started working on the other tree. Went to move stuff out of the way and found two dead mice.
I got disgusted. ~_~ So the tree goes up next weekend too I guess. ^^;;
