Catching Up

Nov 21, 2007 10:49

So I haven't posted in a while. The truth of the matter it is, I just didn't feel up to it. I was horribly depressed after Cocoa passed, and while I tried to do things to keep my mind off of it, I just didn't feel right coming here and posting about the piddly things in my life. I am better. I still miss her, and can't bring myself to put away her bedding or her water bowl but that will come. I'm not going to push myself. Like always, what helped me was being distracted. To those of you on the forum, I probably seemed pretty normal and that's what I was hoping for. I try not to bring other people down with me. If you sent me an email or just thought of me, thank you for your kindness.

But I have neglected this journal, so I'm behind on my weight tracking.
November 7 - lost .4
November 14 - lost .8
This week - gained .4
I survived Thanksgiving last year, and so I'm hoping I will be as good this year.

I had a good birthday. Dinner at my favorite restaurant. Will be going to the Star Wars Exhibit in December when I go up to see Crizl. And I think we're going to see the Golden Compass too (I love those books!).

Getting ready to start making Christmas cookies. This year I'm making Egg Nog logs, these cookies I can't pronounce but they have black pepper in them (I'm really curious), Cranberry bars and I'm going to make my own marshmallows. And what is the point of that, you may ask? Well I've never done it so why not? I also figured out how to make the most AWESOME Walnut Vinaigrette. Oh. My. God. I could just eat a bucket of salad with that stuff.

Had some problems with my domain, I'm only allowed 10 database connections which is pathetic. But I think I fixed it with the robots.txt file, hasn't been down for a week now. That's a blessing. I'll have an update coming up after the first.

And this is the year of Steffannee remembering to search for internet coupon codes before she submits orders! I just got 15% off on order because I bothered to search. Very happy. Also, tomorrow, Amazon is starting their "customer vote" specials. Cross your fingers that I get offered a Wii for $79. No likely... but it's worth a try...
