50 Things to Blog About #9: Your most excruciatingly embarrassing moment. We’ve all got one.
So I'm usually at a loss for discussing embarassing moments. I've had them, sure, but I can't think of anything that was totally motifying, which is probably a good thing. The one thing that came to mind was when I was first dating Nate and he was still living at MSU. I would go up to visit him and we'd always be tailgating and going out with his friends. This one weekend, he gave me a nasty, nasty hickey on my neck. We had to go to the drugstore to buy makeup to attempt to cover the thing up and it just wasn't good enough. I think Nate found it a little funny while I did not.
So I had to walk around that weekend, with people I barely knew, sporting this enormous hickey. In retrospect, I should have just pointed it out myself and made light of it. I was so self-conscious and just hoped that it wasn't as noticeable as I thought.
Early the next week, after I had returned home, I was talking to Nate and he was saying how him and his friends were playing beer pong the night I had left and when he was about to throw the ball, one of his friends yelled "Stefania's hickey!" to distract him. Again, Nate was laughing, I was not.
I still vow that one day I will return the favor.
