All the good shows get cancelled, first Odyssey 5 then Firefly its just not fair. They always cancel them just as they're starting to get interesting too. I mean when it comes to cancelation time why not give them a couple of episodes to kinda wrap up the story a bit, have some sort of proper ending rather than just cutting them off mid-series. The only bright spot is that a Firefly movie is in production and filming should start early next year, Woo!
Alas i'll miss the Firefly weekend on the 27th on Sci-Fi Channel when i'm home, stupid parents getting rid of most of the TV channels. :-(
On the subject of underrated things my Equilibrium dvd arrived this morning. I think i liked it more the second time around, the story isn't exactly fantastic, though it does have a bit more too it than the average action movie but the real standout's are the acting and the action sequences. The action is so good that they not only have a "Scene Selection" menu but also a "Fight Selection" menu. I can't think of any other movies that have done gun and sword fighting quite like this, in some ways it even puts The Matrix films to shame, it conveys the speed of the fighting a lot better. Its also much more stylized, each shot looks like it took hour of composition to get just perfect.
While i wouldn't tell you to go out of your way to see it unless you think you'll like it, its defo worth a watch if you get the chance.
In other good news my Norwegian Army Shirt arrived today, it rocks big style, how can something so thin and light-weight be so warm?
Tomorrow sees muchos working on my bitch assed ANSYS coursework followed by LOTR: RotK.
The coursework is just painfully hard, i think its the hardest thing i've had to do in uni so far. Slight bummer is i can't hand it in on Thursday afternoon so i could get home on the Friday morning early because of some staff piss-up thing. So unless by some miracle i'm done by 1pm tomorrow will have to get a later train on Friday which means busier train which is a bitch.
Sad as it is i'm actually really looking forward to the new Lord Of The Rings film, i thought the first one kinda sucked and was boring, the second one was quite cool but from what i've heard this one should be amazing. I was tempted to go to the 11am showing but alas i have too much uni work to do and i got tickets from a friend for the 18:30 one so figure it'll be grand.
Anyway bed is calling me.
