Okay, FUCK helplessness!
People have done worse things than I have and screwed up worse than I have and made something good out of it and out of themselves. Both in the society's definition of success kind of way, and in the actually being a contributor kind of way. I'M GOING TO DO THAT.
If Shrublet can become president, surely the fact that I was fucked up at 30 won't kill me if I get... er, un fucked up. :-) Dang, I'm old!
Being an aide has definitely taught me a lot that I would love to use. That would be a really good use of this bizarre sidetrip in my life. Long term care NEEDS ... something. It's apalling.
