So. Freaking. Excited. I had no idea a movie based on this series was in the works, though I had heard about The Golden Compass. That trilogy and this series should have been movies long before Harry Potter.
Reading The Grey King, and then Susan Cooper's entire cycle, were the direct influence that made me fall in love with the fantasy genre.
