1-4-2009 - I am now a certified Alien.
I went to apply for my Alien Registration today at the Shinjuku Ward Office.
It was a long, long wait. I should have brought a book or something -.-
Actually I could have waited till the 3rd and gone with the rest of my dorm or something, but the lack of internet here forced me into action to at least get a phone so I can use it to email people/check maps etc.
Well, I ended up spending 5 whole hours warming the seats of the lobby in the Shinjuku Ward Office.
To give an idea of how long the wait is…some Italian guy actually screamed and jumped up when his number was called :o and another couple hugged each other.
Basically, the forms I had to fill in included a whitish form for alien registration
My number was 989..
