I really like Zakk Wyldes music. I heard a lot of religious inflections in his songs and I always thought to myself that he must be a christian. Well, he had a little documentary on himself, where he says that he loves Jesus Christ. My instincts were right. I could just tell by his writings. Take this song. Bleed for me, I bled for you. It's the thing that Christ expects from us. He was nailed to a cross- we must bear a cross. What is a cross? A cross is a death to self. It's giving up our opinions of God and accepting and worshipping the truth about him, no matter who hates it.
Wicked.
We did get out today. I took Eric to Logan's. I got an appetizer to share with Eric and Mike. I only ate a little of it. I'm still fat. So, what's new? hahahaha. It was a nice day today, in the 60's. Hopefully, tomorrow will be more of the same, we're going with Clarice, Mike's mom at 11:00. Eric says he wants to go to Red Lobster. It's rather expensive and I don't care much for it, but he loves it and Clarice likes taking him, so there we go.
You can't give what's given
You can only take.
You can't choose what's chosen
You can only fake.
And where does the wind blow
I wanna know
Won't you tell me so?
It blows where it wills-
Take your pills
Search for an epiphany
But between you and me
It's an apostacy.
Confusion and strife
That's how you live your life,
One by one you all will die
And I will be your leader
Right there with the false prophet
And the wife beater;
Down there at the bottom
Where the fire is red
And all those you decieved
The poor ones you mislead.
I'm not gonna fight it
You can't.
I'm not gonna fight it
You can't-
You are helpless
Stubborn and selfish
You wanted what was best for you.
And you don't have a clue
What's comin
What's comin for you.
I saw the light
And then I went blind
I knew what's right
But I wanted to fight
Wanted the wrong road
That's where I now go-
I'll meet you in hell.
No plans for tonight. TV. We'll be up until the wee morning hours, which is typical. Eric has an earlier bedtime in preperation for school on Monday. It's been a good week. He's got one more day left and then he goes back. Soon, summer will be here. Just a few more weeks. I know he's looking forward to that. And then it's on to 7th grade!
Anyway- sigh. I'm just gonna hang out.
Cya later!
