Order 294

Horoscopes are nothing more than charlatans' bluffing and this should remain unchanged. Bloody Hell, Walter. I tried to keep my distance but that bleeding curse ended the last shred of patience I still possessed.

One hour. I gave D one hour. The same goes to you, Count.

He shifted through the walls and into the library directly to meet with Integral. His hat and garish cloak were gone, Alucard donned only his white oxford shirt- untucked and slightly unbuttoned as well as his black pants. Hands and feet were both bare, but around his neck was the engagement collar.

"Are we ready, Integral?"

D entered a moment later. He glanced at his father, raised an eyebrow at the ensemble, then shook his head in dismissal. Some things an individual never wanted to know about his parents' relationship. In any case, there were more serious matters to attend to, namely the question that his mother would not drop and that he did not care to discuss.

Integra was seated at the head of a large table, pointing at a side and then the other. She was dressed as formal as usual, missing from this picture was the cigar she almost always smoked.

"Have a seat, the two of you."

The vampire sat as offered, pulling out the chair and leaning back, shaggy black bangs falling in his eyes. The red of his irises glowed ever so slightly.

D elected not to do the same. He instead took a place against the wall, as was his custom, his arms crossed over his chest and head bowed. In his own world and time it was a form of self-isolation, a means of distancing himself from others, most often done to make himself seem less a threat to them, but sometimes for his own comfort.

Integra lifted an eyebrow, deeming their silence obtrusive for the task she had assigned them. "What are you expecting? Begin. Alucard. You have the word first."

"If you choose immortality, Integral, then we have the potential to reshape the world from the one our son knows. To keep him from isolation," Alucard began, lip quirking up into a half smile. "If you remain mortal, I only ask that you or our son let me follow you in death. The choice is yours, my Countess. It always has been."

"if you choose immortality, you can't be certain that Father's nature won't overwhelm you." D kept his gaze downcast, not wanting to show the worry he couldn't keep from his eyes, the fear that his parents would change the future only to force him to kill them both.

"I will not risk to force my son's hand into twofold patricide," Integra concluded after listening at the offers. "Nor I allow that future to take place." She folded her arms. "There is more than one vampirism. This City has taught us as much, if we could obtain blood from another vampire that lacks the mental side effect of Alucard's bloodline wouldn't that solve our fundamental trouble?"

Alucard inclined his head, shaggy bangs falling into his eyes, "Countess, we do not know the repercussions of the blood of other vampires here. I would not see you fall to any negative consequences."
