(no subject)
I'm in college at long last.
Weeeeird. Not in a bad way or anything, just.... weird. I keep thinking im at church camp. It's cool though. I'm just not used to it yet. Classes start on Wed and I can't wait. I'm sooo tired of "Hi my name is ________." (new person says their name and asks where your from) "Brandonish area, it's just out side of Tampa. You?" (Person answers) "Cool. So what's your major?" (person answers and then asks for yours) "Social Work." [insert pause here] "Well, it was nice meeting you." (person agrees and you both move on) Thank goodness for Brett and Bre let me tell you. I've met some nice people. Actually everyone is really nice. But I want to KNOW some people and establish some real relationships you know? It'll happen in time.
So my room/roomates. I'm in an area called South Point in a 5 man (in our case woman) dorm. It's one of the older buildings, but still decent... and here's the kicker, it's BIG. Like all of our beds are in a back room (with a door and everything) and all of the desks are in a front room. Two walk in closets and a huge hanging closet make storage no problem. A dresser for each of us (three in the room with the beds, like underneath, and two in the front room wich make nice tables). And no community bathroom, though the bathroom is the size of a closet. So overall, the setup is quite nice. We're gonna get rugs and a couch/futon or something. Yes, there's that much room... a couch. Anyway, my roomates. One of them is Jessica Lynes who I know from back home. The other 3 are Jen, Serenity, and Brittney. Serenity is hardly in the room and I can't quite figure her out. Brittney is a PK and I THINK she's one of the more rebellious ones, though she's really very nice. Jen is cool and was pretty talkative and out going the first day and a half but she seems to have gotten a lot quiter, so im a little concerned for her. We all get along perfectly fine, but I dont see myself becoming close friends with any of them. Which is fine.
So yeah. There's more to say, but im sleepy, and still need to read my bible some, and maybe write in my personal journal ;)
