To the Philadelphia, PA steampunks - a question!
So I'm going to be going to Philly on a business trip this Thursday. I've never been there before. And after my meeting I will have quite some time to myself to explore the city. However, my problem is, I have no idea what to explore! I will have a car (is parking there hard? Mind you, I'm a New Yorker so I'm used to bad traffic) and a GPS, but I will be by myself and sadly dressed normally, so I was hoping to maybe check out some shops. But as we all know, the best shops are the kind people know of by word of mouth.
I figured I'd ask here-- are there any good Victorian/punk/Gothic/renaissance/alternative/whathaveyou shops around Philly? Or anything else worth checking out? Some vintage jewelry places?
All I am aware of is the Mutter Museum but unfortunately by the time I will be done with the meeting it won't be worth it to go to anymore (and that's a place I'd love to have time to wander around, not be rushed).
