Umm. Saw them off yourself? Not trying to be flip. My dh does it all the time for SCA armor repair. Just put the thing in a vice and saw away. ;-]

Yeah...it'd probably be significantly more feasible and cheaper to either grab a saw or a Dremel with a cutoff wheel to do this.

Well, screws are cheap. And wirecutters are not THAT expensive, so if you get screws with larger heads but a thin body, it would be relatively easy work to snip off the bodies and then use a file to smooth down the nub.

I know, but I live in a very tiny, crowded apartment with very bad lighting and little-to-no experience with powertools because of this. It's looking like that's my only option, which is fine, but for these reasons I was hoping there was an easier way. Thanks!

True, I guess I missed the wirecutters bit or it didn't register since everyone else is suggesting powertools [tiny or otherwise]/molds.

I actually think this is the best idea so far, I wouldn't have thought to just find thinner screws [brain no worky?]. TYVM
