Decorating Inexpensive Hats - You Don`t Have to be a Milliner

I took a very inexpensive costume hat purchased from Dressew, browsed some ribbons and geegaws I had around the apartment:
And with the $13 hat, a $1 fancy hair elastic, and a piece of ribbon from a blouse I have used for many steampunk projects, a short chain and a keyhole and key ornament, I made this hat:
