The Technocrats Ball - Cambridge, MA

Jan 29, 2011 14:34

So I know it's late in the day, but a friend of mine just introduced me to the Commonwealth Vintage Dancers, a group that recreates dancing from the regency era to the 1920's. They appear to be pretty active, however tonight they are throwing a steampunk soiree tonight at the Masonic Hall in Cambridge from 7-1030. I'm already engaged for the evening, otherwise I would strongly consider it, but I thought I'd throw it out there for folks: http://www.vintagedancers.org/2011technocrats.html

Even if it's too late for people to think about, they have a really excellent website with all sorts of fun links and information. I know I'm going to try and get to one of their events in the future. Maybe it will finally give me the impetus for making the civil war era gown and regency gown that I bought patterns for but could never justify making.
