Dear Sirs and Madams,
It has come to my attention that the delightfully anachronistic band Murder By Death will be playing a show on New Year's Eve at the Picador in Iowa City, Iowa. It is the intent of my fiancé and myself to attend this show (particularly the 2130 show for those over the age of nineteen; youngsters can see the earlier show at 1800), and I would like nothing more than to see a crop of regional steampunk aficionados in full regalia at this event. I would like to pledge my own costumed presence, but alas, I am little more than a sniveling coward and will only appear in my airship captain's gear if a group will be there to make me feel less absurd.
Tickets are the entirely reasonable price of ten quid and can be obtained here. Arrangements can be made to provide transportation to those in and around Iowa City. Please comment if you intend to be there, and I will pack my attire accordingly. Ta.
