Mad Scientist's apron
Oct 08, 2010 22:21
I whipped this up last weekend. It's made of heavy cotton and I'll add some embellishments, but otherwise it's done.

This looks interesting! I'm just starting off, so I don't really know what's what yet. Just wondering, the patterned cloth, what is that called?

For the lack of anything better, paisley. It's also a heavy cotton.

Very nice work! I think the paisley and the colours in it work very well c:

Neat! I'm really liking the paisley, surprisingly - I think the colours, and the plain black and gold, tone it down sufficiently to make it elegant rather than tacky (as paisley tends to be, IMHO). Nice work!

The back is a rich chocolate brown.

I like it. I would love to know how you did it. I am tying to make an apron like that for my costume at work.

You're ever so welcome. I hope my instructions are clear - or at least clear enough to understand and that your apron works out well for you.
