But im working on finding out what people like. When I was at the show with Abney Park at the Tim Burton Ball, several people had liked the chain I had made to put onto my glasses. A few even wanted to steal it, so I post the images I took of them and ask, would you buy and what do you think would be a reasonable price?

Very pretty!

I wouldn't buy one though, simply because I have to wear my glasses full-time if I want to do such a simple thing as... see.

Best of luck finding folks who're a little better-sighted than I am, though!

I have to ware my glasses all the time to see myself, and I had these on all night, they where strictly decorative but looked very nice. And likely added to the reason I was referred to as a 'demented librarian'

Nice! I make beaded eyeglass chains as well. What I do is take the price of my supplies and then and add 10-15% for my labor. As decoration, this is very pretty.

As someone who has to take off her glasses often to read a computer, I would find the hoops a little less secure for constant on/off usage. If you do wind up making more of these, I recommend getting some of these for people with more of a need for the chain.

yes this pair was purely decorative, but nice. I do plan on making some more functional pairs as I myself take off my glasses to read.

I wear my glasses all the time but I like decorative accents. These are pretty, but I'm not certain how they hold the glasses firmly. That's a must for me, otherwise the glasses tend to slip off and get bent or broken.

You might try other metals as well. The gold chain doesn't flatter the bead pieces as well as something more muted like pewter or silver or brass would have.

the gold was what we had on hand mostly, as for slippage, these are mostly decorative, if you take your glasses off your face you'd have to take the two hoops and hook them together with your glasses looped through the two hoops with one arm. because otherwise they slip off.
This one is purely decorative, and the chain makes them a little heavy, but I found it fine for the night, as it is, I'll likely be making some more practical, so long as there is interest you know? I'm already looking into lighter chains of a varaity of colors. Some will stay gold because there are those that like it. Muted colors are nice, but if you are like me and prefer bright patterned colors, the brighter metals work better than duller ones.
