A new novel by Katie MacAlister, called Steamed, A Steampunk Romance.

I don't know about you but for the cheese factor alone I must get this! Her novels tend to be of the brain candy romance with paranormal themes variety.

Actually I found it at the Borders across the street from the theatre I work at 2 days ago. Bought it then, but haven't read it yet.

Sure!
On the beach, on the airplane, right before bed. These books are great for that. Everything has it's place. We can't always be reading advanced mechanics texts. :)

Sort of related: While I adore books/movies/things with steampunk elements, I notice I don't like it when they are blatantly advertised as being 'steampunk'. It's just... too prefab for my liking, as if steampunk art is merely what you get when you follow a predefined set of rules/tropes, rather than something that emerges from one's own creativity, interests and (aesthetic) appreciation.

Novels like these, to me, just seem to cash in on the creativity of others.
