I finished my first project with polymer clay today. It's a bit amateurish, but I think it ultimately came out OK.
Apologies for the qualities of the pictures. The camera apparently couldn't believe that's what I wanted a picture of so it refused to focus.
Here are my supplies:
Michael's
Tools
Polymer clay
Wires
head pins
pin backing*
various plastic clay tools
Paint*
Paint Brush*
Mica Powder*
*I didn't end up using these for this project, but maybe next time...
Time and Materials (Etsy)
Clock parts
Key pendants
I used an on-line
tutorial as a basic inspiration. Next time I'll try to integrate more of the ideas from the tutorial.

Here are my finished clay pieces:
The clay was pretty easy to work with. The tiny wires not so much. It took a little while to get the hang of it, but I think they turned out pretty well for a first effort. They look a bit random, but that's okay.
I had a chain I got at a thrift store for Halloween (hung a pocket watch on it), so I attached the pendants and the keys using the small wire, and ta-da! All done.
I might eventually space the pieces out more. I figure I can also use the chain to spiffy up a vest or jacket.
