I bought a coat last winter online. I really loved it in the picture, but of course it wasn't what I wanted when I got it. I wore it all winter anyhow, because I'm stubborn. I have a new coat that suits me for this winter, but I would love to spruce up the old one, as it seems a shame to waste a good coat. My regular winter coat is a simple black twill pea coat: perfect for everyday as it matches whatever I wear and can be made steamy with accessories when I want (and it has buckles!). I was hoping I could make this old coat something really fun, and hopefully incorporate it into my gear. And so I present it to you in the hope that some of you have some suggestions for me.
There is a tear in the lining, which I can repair myself, and it needs to be taken in, which is a task for my tailor as I cannot be trusted with such a thick fabric. Besides this, I'm not sure how to proceed. Ideally, I would like a simple, stylish, steamy jacket to wear with my nice outfits, such as dress trousers and skirts/dresses. I am up for anything from lace to rivets.
Thank you in advance!
