New to the com and a bit new to Steampunk. I haven't made anything yet and I'm reading up on it.
I'm working on an outfit for an upcoming local con. I'd like some suggestions on how to steam it up.
This is the outfit, or will be, both the skirt and the top, which is another pattern.
I'd like to make it in a color about like what its shown. I prefer more floral shades to earth tones. But I have one friend who claims more Steampunk knowledge then I have says its got to be in earth tones. Does it?
I plan to add a big hat that I will make and a parasol. The character I'll be playing is the air headed ditzy daughter of the Aristocrat funding the expedition my husband and house mate where hired to go on. They'll be Steampunk monster hunters. I'll be tagging along and going OMG EW and screaming a lot.
So ideas? Places to go for more information? Suggestions? Clue me in!
