Please feel free to ignore the following bit and just enjoy the link!!!

Now there is a "gentleman" part way down calling himself "possum". He seems to have some quite singular opinions about our little life choices here. I am NOT saying anyone should flame him ( Read more... )

I read everything at that link, but I'm not going to dignify "Possum" with a reply. I doubt that anything sensible and polite we could say would make any impact on him. He seems a right and proper troll, feeding his ego with replies would only make him worse.

Unfortunately, there will always be people ready to put others down for enjoying things that they, themselves, cannot enjoy. "Possum" looks to be one of those killjoys. I pity him, really. It must suck to be him.

that I should be a better man and ignore such petty jibes.
But, on rare occasion the worse man in me whacks the better one over the head and takes his lunch money.

Oh, I fully agree Sir. Were it my Lady Wife he'd insulted I'd feel just the same as do you. Personally, I'd like nothing better than to witness this fellow learn the error of his ways. But, methinks the joke is actually upon him. *WE* have the Family of Steam to to commune with as we will. He, on the other hand, has only his own bile to keep him company. Truth to tell, being himself is probably a worse torture than any that you or I could inflict upon him.

I agree he's not worth the two seconds it would take to cut him down.

Yup, but they too no doubt are worth more than that piece of trash. Hey, I know how hard it can be to walk away when some people don't realize there is a human on the other side and feel the need to make crappy ass remarks about people.

I've been modeling and online for 15 years and I've had people say the most awful things about me and my face, hair, legs, you name it! After awhile, I realized I did nothing to better myself or my esteem by listening to or replying to such rubbish.

She won't truly feel any better either. You both know the dude's a total asshat. Let him be an asshat without an audience.

It's that "sheild of anonymity" thing.... brute_force November 8 2008, 02:19:24 UTC
... drives me barmy. I have a rule on here that I would never say anything about anyone I would not say to their face. Thus the invitation to tea :)
and... I've seen you online and have not one awful thing to say about any of your parts! :)

It's a good rule. It's one I had to learn myself, actually, at the advice of Dita Von Teese. There is no reason for cruelty, yet some people believe that because they are safely behind their keyboard, where they can be jerks. And a real person doesn't exist on the other side who might POSSIBLY have feelings.

Oh, and me and my parts thank you kindly!

I will help make tea by offering my iron porcelain set. It's made of aforementioned iron clay. It has a lot of ridges and knobbiness. It will survive a good clubbing since the iron in the clay makes it feels exactly like metal and behaves and reacts as metal would.

Aye. As someone who has defended a woman's honor on many occasions, one does not simply stand by and let words like that be spoken.

Personally, he sounds like a chav who deserves nothing more than a public flogging and some time in the stocks. Ah, but there is the renaissance man popping up in me.
