Title: Fairytale Ending

Word count: 100
Rating: Universal
Characters: Becker/Jess

Written for P100 challenge 391: The Witching Hour

AN: Why is it always the ones that look like they’ll be simple that prove so difficult? It’s something of a leap but this is masquerading as a fill for the Festivals square on the Primeval Bingo Card.

The clock was striking midnight as Jess ran from the ballroom. At some point she’d lost her shoes, her dress was a wine-stained ruin, her purse was missing and her phone was out of charge. Her pre-booked taxi had vanished leaving only the darkened, empty streets and a frightened mouse which scurried away at her approach.

“Damn! She’d have to walk. She was never going to another Hen Party.

“Jess.” A familiar voice called her name.

“Becker!” She ran into his arms. “My Prince Charming.”

He grinned as he wrapped his coat over her shoulders. “More like your Fairy Godmother.”
