The entire walk home Connor was crowing and gurgling with laughter.
“I can’t believe that you thought that penguins lived at the North Pole!”
It might only have been a pub quiz but Ryan had had enough. “Shut up, Connor.”
“Make me!” taunted Connor.
That put a different spin on things. Grabbing the younger man Ryan pushed him back against the wall.
Connor’s eyes went wide and faintly alarmed. “Tom! We’re in public.”
Ryan grinned. “You should have thought of that earlier, smart-arse. I’m just obeying instructions.” He reached for the buckle of Connor’s jeans. “The safe word is Arctic.”
