Oh my word! I wanted to like this but ended up watching from behind a cushion suffused with embarrassment. It was so, so sugary. The emotion felt cheap and (as a viewer) I felt I was being manipulated. Make me feel, don't tell me what I should be feeling. The one bright spot was the incorporation of the paintings into the text. That was genuinely moving.
