Welcome to stay_inspired!
stay_inspired is a community created solely to keep your creative juices flowing and new and better work coming from your fingertips each and every week. Feel free to participate as a guest, or as a member. Information on both classes as well as so much more is listed under the cut below.
1. Participation Status
At stay_inspired, we offer two different statuses: guest or member. Both guests and members can participate in any and all inspiration fests. The difference is, guests do not earn points, but members do. Points are earned on a participation basis, similar to how they are earned in land comms. If you participate, you earn the points. The number of times a person can participate for points changes for each fest. Guests do not earn points, but points are tallied regardless, in case the situation arises where a guest would like to switch and become a member. Points are updated every Thursday and standings will be posted on the main comm page.
2. Membership
Membership in the comm is open to anyone. However, you will be subject to a warning and then removal if there are any reports of drama, wank, or any hurtful comments and the issue cannot be resolved. Members will be automatically removed if there are any reports of plagiarism. We will not support plagiarism. Works for this comm must be 100% yours.
3. Inspiration Fests
A new fest will be posted every one to two weeks, depending on participation and the size and point value of the fest. Points and amounts of inspirational pieces given will vary with each new fest. Makers will also post their work to the community to share with all. The method of sharing of inspired works is subject to change.
4. Points and Scoring
Most points will be determined on a participation basis only. Some fests may include bonus points, which are optional for the participant to earn. Occasionally, there will also be opportunities to earn extra points through competition or team activities. In a competition, any interested participants would complete a fest for participation points and then their work would be placed in a voting post. After voting, the first, second, and third place winners would receive bonus points. This comm is not meant to be a "battle to the finish" sort of points-earning comm. It is meant to be a fun, slightly competitive way to keep yourself inspired and challenged. We hope that all will create quality work versus the most work possible (at a slightly lower caliber) just to earn points.
5. Archiving
A tagging system will be put in place so the work of each author/artist is easily found if posted to the community. A directory will also be created so that all authors/artists and their works are easily found.
All fandoms (or lack thereof) are welcome here! Any shows, movies, stock images, original works, etc. are welcome at stay_inspired! Whatever you are motivated and inspired to create for is allowed!
