Wicked Weekend

Jan 24, 2005 01:05

So the snow...FUN! It is incredibly light to shovel which makes everything very easy:) Anyways...I thought I would let you all know of my joy.
I took my security tests this weekend. It all started on Friday night with the written test. I passed that with a 97%. Kind of surprised, but also disappointed that I didn't get a better grade than that. On Saturday everything was just weird. With the snow the way it was (blowing around everywhere) and trying to drive in that with a car that has rear wheel drive...it was a fun experience. I had to deal with all the cars driving on the new pavement. Yeah...people are stupid. So just to make life a little easier and safer, just turn your car around. IF you don't think you can, let me know and I will do it for you. It's not that hard. If you get stuck I will push you out. I don't care. Just don't drive on the new pavement! So I had all 4 scenarios along with lock downs last night...and the stupid people. I scored an average of 93% on my lock downs and am still waiting to get a final average overall number. I do believe I passed. The 4 scenarios that I had to deal with were Rape, Alcohol Violation, Vehicle Stop, and Trespassers. I thought it was pretty easy to handle except for the Alcohol Violation. I felt rushed and seemed like things weren't in order very well. I had the help of an RA, but I just couldn't seem to get myself together in that scenario. The other problem I had was asking for Identification at the wrong time. I asked for it when I didn't really need it and I didn't ask for it when I did need it. Overall everything was a big learning experience, but I think it was way too much for one night..seeing it ended up being about 5 hours. At 1:30 I finished my first incident report. Thankfully I only had to write one instead of 4!
I have still been working out, in order to meet my physical requirements for Security. I'm just kind of glad everything is done with. I will let you all know what my final score is:)
Another thing in my life is that I have asked Amanda Degner, my best friend from Wisconsin, to be my guest to my sisters wedding. I definitely am excited. She just had ankle surgery last week and I have definitely felt that pain. I wish I could do something for her...but I guess I will just have to become creative, once again:)
I feel like I am growing up a little more. I just took 55 or so buddies off of my buddies list. I also have not been as involved in the Spokefolk discussion forum. I am finding that some people that I meet online I don't really get to know. Yes, I had an internet relationship....but I have learned life lessons in doing that and will advise anyone else not to do that. Daniel (Dan, as some of you unfortunately call him)...I hope you are proud that I am breaking away from somethings:)
I'm thinking that a Psych minor will be good for me as well as a Biblical Studies major. I am still looking into that though and will keep you all updated. Whatever happened to just going to college. Now you have all these post college places and crap like that. Sometimes I wish I would have been born in the 1920's. I would have been so far ahead of everyone:) I could have been president! That is when all C's, a B+, and an A would be highly accepted by a university. Now...I can't even get into a freakin' program with those grades. The grades were good enough for me and that is all that matters. Oh yeah...I can sing too. That has to get me somewhere in life!:)
I still can't figure out how to upload a picture on this Livejournal thing. Maybe someone can help me someday. Oh yeah. I need to upgrade my computer.
My wonderful friends here bought me the worlds best SODA! It is Meijer brand Cherry Cola! OH YES!:) Maybe that is the only reason I wanted to move to Michigan...because I was destined to discover this stuff. Ok...now it is time to move back to Wisconsin:)
I think that is about it from here!
Hopefully someone will read this:)
