Home Sweet Home

Well, I have finally arrived at home. I came home to the smell of the Christmas tree in our house, with decorations hung, and Christmas lights hung, not to mention the 3 inches of snow cover out in the woods, where I love to live. It's such a wonderful feeling to be back home. I can play video games to my hearts delight and make cookies to eat so I can stay warm for winter:) That's the whole point of cookies;) I still have not started my shopping yet, but I know that Philip is going to get some fish for his present, and maybe something else. I told my mom what I was going to spend on everyone this year. She said that was too much. Then I felt like I was a grandma wanting to spend my money on other people. I just figure I haven't spent time with my family much at all this semester because I always work, so I need to spend not only time with my family, but I need to spend some of that money I made on my family.
Finals week was one I will never forget:) I have never been up so late studying for tests than I was this week! It was all worth it though...since I got to watch a movie every night! I also met an awesome class mate who I could talk to forever whom I never met until this week. She's gone next semester though, so I won't see her for 9 months, but snail mail is always great to both get and give! Staying up until 5am is also fun, especially when you can sleep in, but then you can't because your brother calls you at 11:30 to drop something off for you to take home and then you can't go back to sleep and then you are up typing in your live journal with really heavy eyes at 1:14am. Anyways, I also got to talk to Amanda for the first time in almost 2 months. It's always fun to catch up with best friends!
Work was the longest 4 hour shift ever last night. Oh dear heavens! It was sooo boring, but at least I get even a bigger pay check so I can pay off my new monitor I am getting sometime over break!
Philip and I played video games tonight. I lost badly 96-14 in the first Madden ('04) game we played but then the second I tied until the 2 minute warning at 64-64. Then the final ended up being 101-78. We had fun though:) I don't really care about scores, I just like playing and having fun with Philip. Tomorrow I am going to make him take a break from studying from finals and play another game with him. I found out that people do need breaks during finals! I'm sure he won't be up until 3:30 doing a Theory take home exam though. Hmmmm...what else can I write in here? I have my tests for work within the first two weeks that I get back from break. If/WHEN I do pass those tests I will no longer be in training. I do still need to re-certify my CPR and take a self defense course, but then I should be set! I have my work cut out for me over break with having to learn a choir song, trying to know the procedures handbook front to back so I know what to do in every situation, and to spend time with my parents and the rest of my family. I don't see family time as a chore though;)
One final thing. My bed here at home is the most comfortable thing on the planet! It's a wonderful queen size bed and is absolutely the best room in the house when I watch movies in there. It's like my own theater....and is usually only occupied by me because nobody else really cares for the movies I like to watch. I do have the occasions when the whole family wants to watch a movie in my room, but since everything is at school I don't get to have my own theater here. Oh well:) I will just grab the most comfortable pillow here and sit on the couch relaxing as I drink a nice warm cup of Hot Chocolate as the snow falls outside:) Ah, I love winter!
Time for bed!
Goodnight, and better tomorrows
Mikey
