I am so excited to be taught by

the three world-renowned scientists in the field. Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine is going to be one of my most anticipated classes here. It's taught by an all-star team of professors that include Weissman, Nusse, and Fuller. O M G. Irving Weissman's group at Stanford University that was the first to isolate mouse hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in 1988. He's the Godfather of HSCs. Nusse discovered Int, Yes, that's the "nt" part of "Wnt." Yes, he discovered Wnt. O M G. Fuller pioneered the idea of the stem cell niche in regulating self-renewal and commitment using Drosophila as a model system. Basically, it's a bad ass 5-unit class.

I have to take Medical Anthropology to fulfill two general education requirements, but how can illness experiences and social suffering surpass STEM CELL BIOLOGY. I think not. I mean, really. I'm shopping CSB 210 Signal Transduction Pathways and Networks. Can't get enough cellular and molecular cascade. Cascade is a great word, by the way. And my last class is a required one for my MCB specialization in BioSci. It's BioSci 129A Cell Biology I.

I'm sorry for such a lame post. I know I should be writing about the excruciating experience of my Oxford tutorial, but I just can't get myself to.
