Today’s appointments were much better than yesterdays. I had my PET scan in the morning. I was surprised with the length of it; it took over two hours. When I first went in I got another radioactive injection. I was then led to a dim room with a lazy boy and a radio. I had to relax in there for an hour, and ended up falling asleep. From there I went in for the actual scan. It took a full hour for the complete scan, but once again I fell asleep. After the test was over we waited to talk to my dr for about 1.5 hours. All he really had to say was that he scheduled my first chemo treatment for next Friday after my appointment with him. After we left the hospital we visited my grandpa for an hour. We had a good time talking, and it was nice to see him again. I’m glad I finally know when my treatment will start. That’s a real relief.
