I don't know...i'm an atheist who's also somewhat of a church tourist when I travel, and I tend to find going into churches very comforting, even though I don't believe in God and generally am not there for services. they're quiet, and dark, and pretty, and i think that even though I'm never there for the same kind of solace that religious believers are there for, there's something soothing and interesting and nice about going into churches, even though I wouldn't say it's got anything to do with religion.
