Thank you, bearfacts, for making the past 8 weeks of biochemistry during my summer vacation worth it.

I took the morning off yesterday and went into the city. Stopped by SF MOMA where I saw one of the most bizarre light displays with a projection screen in a dark room projecting a sine wave onto a black screen using planes of light so that if you walk in front of the projection you appear to be enveloped in a tunnel of light visible with the smoke machine.

Trippy.

I walked through the park across the street from the museum and after wandering behind the concrete waterfalls I saw an old church. It was near a trendy cream-puff store called "beard papa." I went inside and sat in the pews in the back and a few minutes later some sort of noon-time mass had begun. I couldn't really hear what people were chanting/repeating. There were a few people there even though it was just a random Tuesday.

This summer I had expected to go camping since when I had first met Teale he went about every weekend. I had high hopes for these trips: namely to gain some sort of clarity that I was missing that would help me make the decisions that I now need to start considering. I really hope I'm not now turning to church services. That would be really worrying.

Zoe comes up tomorrow which is awesome. She'll be staying at my place for a couple days. I have no idea what sort of trouble we will get into. Probably none, but it will be fun regardless.

Getting subjects for my experiments is starting to piss me off. Well, it has been. For a while now.

Where did the summer go? Seeing people tabling out on Sproul made me realize that it's gone. I guess that's one benefit to taking classes during the summer: no fucking flyering.
