Kramer vs. Kramer -- I thought was one of the better movies I've seen this summer. Dustin Hoffman is this working man whose wife (meryl Streep) walks out on him and their 6 year old son. It then shows Hoffman raising the kid, and then in 2 years time, the wife comes back and wants custody of the kid, and it turns into a big custody battle. Hoffman is a tremendous actor, and can really do any kindve role you want him to do (ex. Tootsie, Hook, Rainman etc.). I loved his role in it. Streep was good too, although I wanted to shoot her in the face with a shotgun though. 3 1/2 - 4 stars, couldnt decide.
Fatal Attraction -- good thriller with Michael Douglas and Glen Close. Douglas has an affair with her, and then tries to cut it off, only to find that Close becomes crazily obsessed with him, and turns violent and nuts, when he wants nothing to do with her. Good acting, but it didn't really thrill me too much, I kindve saw it all coming. 2 1/2 stars
Deliverance -- kindve boring, story with these 4 guys (Burt Renyolds, Jon Voight, Ned Beatty, and I can't remember the other guy) and they go on this camping trip though some hick county, and find that the locals there want to kill them, so they gotta choose between killing or getting killed. Wasnt really up to my standards, but Burt is the man. The movie sucked though. 2 stars
Copland -- probably one the best casted movies that I've seen in a while. Deniro, Stallone, Keitel, Liotta, Robert Patrick, Michael Rappaport, other guys whose names I can't remember. About this town in New Jersey where all these cops live. You get a story of coverup and all kinds of dirty things going on in it. And Stallone is the bum sheriff who turns it around and helps uncover it. Cliche in that sense, but it was good overall. 3 stars
