an angry man leaves his wife and children in a fit of rage.
a broken wife finds hope by the sound of her daughter sleeping soundly next to her.
a struggling daughter finds excitement in the smell of new clothes folded in her armoire.
a frightened daughter finds comfort in the eyes of the one she loves.
a lonely daughter finds solace in the warmth of her son sleeping on her chest.
and all of them, silently mourn for the man that he used to be.
the man the struggling daughter barely knew.
the man the broken wife married.
the man the lonely daughter felt close to.
the man the frightened daughter laughed with.
although they find their hope, excitement, comfort, and solace in all different places - a family pulls through in a time of need to give each other a shoulder to lean on, a hand to hold, or an embrace to feel at ease. and that is all we need no matter what comes our way.
