Please excuse me, I am getting book spooge everywhere

I need to take the time to write about The Farseekers and Ashling, both by Isobelle Carmody, as well as Ellen Kushner's Thomas the Rhymer (hint - it is hypnotically good) [oh jeez I should also do that Final Fantasy XII gameblog with sidequest: genocide], so Giant Diana Wynne Jones re-read is go.

It will be done in publishing order as much as can be - I don't have the ever-elusive The Changeover or The Skiver's Guide, and I'll need to try and grab Wilkin's Tooth, Who Got Rid of Angus Flint?, The Four Grannies, and Chair Person from the library - I think they actually have copies, in a strange twist of the library being useful.

I also don't have The Tough Guide to Fantasyland on the list, because I'm not an /idiot/.

The Ogre Downstairs
Eight Days of Luke
Cart and Cwidder
Dogsbody
Power of Three
Drowned Ammet
Charmed Life
The Spellcoats
The Magicians of Caprona
Time of the Ghost
The Homeward Bounders
Witch Week
Archer's Goon
Fire & Hemlock
Howl's Moving Castle
A Tale of Time City
The Lives of Christopher Chant
Wild Robert
Castle in the Air
Black Maria
A Sudden Wild Magic
The Crown of Dalemark
Hexwood
Deep Secret
The Dark Lord of Derkholm
Mixed Magics
Year of the Griffin
The Merlin Conspiracy
Conrad's Fate
The Pinhoe Egg

It, uh, looks rather daunting, set out like that, but so many can be digested in a few hours.

... I'm also fairly certain this is the only way I will ever reread Dogsbody, Black Maria, and The Homeward Bounders. Which are excellent and deserve to be reread, and by God, they /will/ be.

dwj, books
