Oh my...
I'm not getting involved in the current drama, but I have to say something. Mostly, I think it's absolutely ridiculous. I feel I need to mention that I like both of the parties involved, and I'm in no way taking sides. That said, as someone who likes to know the entire story before forming an opinion, I'm glad that it's all been put out there.
I'm not going to comment on what either side has to say. Again, not getting involved. There are some things though. First, I realize that it was in context, but I wasn't super thrilled with TeamBPAL being brought up. I realize that it's not a huge, active team, but I'm just not super comfortable with the thought of anyone associating the team with the drama, or assuming that we, as a group, support one side more than the other. Both parties are valuable members of the team, and while individual members may choose a side, the team doesn't. I'm not trying to say that's what was meant, because I don't think it was. Like I said, it was in context, and I understand why it was put out there the way it was. No harm done, really, it's just a concern.
Second, this is going to cause a huge divide and probably hurt business, at least a little, for both parties. I just hope that they're prepared to deal with that. Granted, they're both fairly successful, but I feel that there was an overlap in their business that may not be there anymore.
Really though, I just hope that both parties can get this all worked out, now that it's out in the open, and it doesn't continue to be the mess that it appears to be because, let me tell you, right now, it looks like a mess. Put what you feel is important out there and then move on. I really do hope that it gets worked out and ended. Avoid each other and move on. Stop talking about the other person, don't go look at their work...pretend that they don't even exist.
