'Sup I didn't die OR get stranded in Germany this year (congratulations Gatwick airport for not closing till 2 days after I got home). One of my resolutions is to make a 2010 photo post so I'll save the rest of my travel rambling for that. Another of my resolutions is to stop disappearing so I'll try to hold myself to that as well.
Also I am awake because I am waiting for the boilers to be turned back on and I need a bath. I have a deadline coming up soon ^q^ (when do I not?) hrrrrrrngggg
So, you know, I should probably get rid of some of my backlog.
Happy (belated) new year and thanks for bearing with me all year long (or longer, in some cases)!
CHRISTMAS
If I sent you a christmas card this is probably what you got:
I'm about 55% through panto the comic and I want to die. the more I rush, the longer I take. what is this
and this is what I sent to about... 3 people... OTL but I had fun making it
NEW YEAR
Originally drawn for
ameru. Very likely I've completely fumbled New Zealand's colours. NZ DESIGN IS SO INCREDIBLY MOE. According to wiki, rabbits are the second largest pest problem over there o3o
this one'll take quite a bit of explaining... hmm well as I understand it, every New Year's Eve in Germany, Austria, German-speaking Switzerland and the Nordics (and Australia) they air a British sketch called
Dinner for One. The catchphrase of this sketch is "Same procedure as last year". I happened to give up 18 minutes of my life to watch it and my conclusion is: There needs to be beer, lots, and lots, and LOTS OF BEER and then I will find it as amusing as the audience in the video did. (admittedly the butler is pretty amusing in some instances)
HAUTE AND NOT-SO-HAUTE COUTURE
(hungary, chavvy brother, classy brother, austria)
I was flipping through the lookbook on Alexander Wang and had to draw this. The
shoes are from L.K. Bennett, I saw them in the window and almost went into convulsions BECAUSE THEY WERE SO CUTE AND I WOULD NEVER EVER WEAR/PULL OFF SOMETHING LIKE THAT SOBS
Superdry and lots of Glee.
More Glee, but the clothes weren't referenced from anywhere in particular.
Man in waistcoat.
KU'DAMM

Forgive me the first page, I drew it while on the move somewhere, I think. And then I couldn't be bothered to redraw it.
Credit burrrrrrrrrrrrn. Awwww yeah.
BONUS
Ludwig had it much better when I was more interested in torturing the Rt Hon Arthur Kirkland but I simply live to draw the facepalms, the wrinkles, the OH GOD BROTHER WHY expressions ^q^
Notes:
1. Ku'damm : Kurfürstendamm, a famous shopping street in Berlin.
2. John Galliano designed the winter 2010 collection for Dior, apparently based on the very naughty sexual adventures of the 2nd Earl of Rochester. It's
steampunkagasmic. The ensemble I appropriated (minus the lovely velvet hat) is third from top, on the right.
3. I have no idea how one goes about purchasing haute couture items, can you tell. I am even more clueless on the prices. Is €9,000 even an accurate estimate for dress, leather cape and boots.....
