(no subject)
Had an awkward chat to Obi-Wan about the journey paper. He was surprisingly sympathetic about my reluctance to finish my degree, but encouraging about my film editing dream (the only one I told him about). He said I should go research how to go about that and also put "finish the College Program" in the paper.
I was kinda amused when he said "that's kind of threatening!" about my parents saying I could come here as long as I came back and finished my degree. :P I pulled out the "Asian parents :(" line and he said "I never had an Asian parent but I had a mother who majored in guilt" and "one day you'll be an Asian parent".
Never.
I mean, I want to be a parent some day, but I don't want to be one of those parents whose kids go out and sigh, "Asian parent :(" (I assume this will change some day when I'm actually trying to have kids.)
