I'm glad I'm so taken that Nicole and Grace don't want to try and set me up with people

Help me, flist-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope! Can someone please download and upload The Dead Line for me? D: I managed to grab The Golden Age, and someone on who_anon Sendspaced Asylum, but I'm getting geolocked out of the first one. Quick, before it's the 10th in the UK! Else I shall probably rip the stream. :/

All the Children of Earth icons popping up on my flist make me antsy for the New Zealand release. Or Iona screening Aratahi the downloads, whatever. Like with Planet of the Dead I'm bookmarking the icon posts to nab once I've seen the episodes, so the question is, why the hell am I flicking through who_anon? I make no sense. D:

Anyway, John Barrowman as Raoul in the Phantom sequel? Not sure if want. On one hand, unneeded sequel; on the other hand, John Barrowman. Hm.

On a non-Torchwood note: Been chillin'. Went shopping with iamlivingmusic and the Papakowhai crew on Wednesday after accidentally cracking Nicole's cheek bone ffffff I AM A MONSTER. As grace_face48 and nix_the_fish went rather successfully ball dress shopping (Grace's I think final dress looks fantastic!), I looked for a dress for Andrea's debut. The girl wants her cotillion girls in white and boys in black. White formal non-bridal dresses are impossible to find in winter. :[ To the extent that my mom bitched about it at her mom (Andrea herself being away) tonight, and her mom says she'll try to talk Andrea into going with just dark dresses for cotillion uniform.

Still pretty proud of myself for restraining myself from buying a $30 full length navy blue gown, though. It was awesome, but I always kind of drown in full length dresses. And I already have five formal dresses that I can't wear anywhere...

Also: Nicole is fantastic as a dress shopping accomplice, I gotta say. cattrius isn't half bad either (ta again for the frozen Coke btw). Michael has some way to go. |D GO THE BRO HUGS.

Grades: B in Spanish, B+ in Latin, A in theatre. These all make me incredibly happy: I was so scared going into Spanish that I'd fail forever but B is very much not a fail; similarly I was scared of Latin because I was only good at the literature analysis, my translations hinged on my storytelling more than my grasp of grammar, and holy crap second year, but it seems I can hold my own in a second year Latin class; that's a freaking A, you can't take my major away from me. :D The A in theatre also means I must have had a pretty phenomenal last essay (even though I thought it was pretty dire) after getting A-s all sem. I r smrt.

Mom and I have been having the degree debates lately. And by lately I may mean weeks ago. She's saying major in media studies and I tell her I did that for two years and hated it; the only part I liked was creating the media. She seems to want me to be a journalist; I told her I'm more interested in film journo than print and she said I couldn't go to broadcasting school. :| I think her masscomm undergrad degree is showing. Though at least these discussions are bringing up some neat stories from when she was in uni. I swear I'm having the most boring college years ever. This should be remedied somehow.

I am looking forward to David Tennant in St. Trinian's. Silly David Tennant in a silly movie: Win-win. The only thing that could make this better is lesbian hijinx in the girls' boarding school. Hello, shallowness, how are you today?

Oh yeah, my Digimon: Data Squad DVDs arrived! :D :D :D And I have gotten my sister thoroughly hooked on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya; we have blazed through random episodes and then in chronological order over the past few days and have been making a half-assed effort to learn Hare Hare Yukai. Eh, that reminds me, I really ought to read book nine.

PB hunting sucks and I've been feeling a bit bleh on RP lately. :/ Why so fail, muses? Have they gone on vacation too? No, self, more games is not the answer.

*...merely because we have compatible orientations/genders. :P
