So there's this cellist who's so cute he makes my gaydar ping
We had orchestra practice at/with Coll today. There's something really satisfying about making music with other people.
But that's not what this is about. No: I got school's best glockenspiel today, because I'm the only glockenspiel...ist playing at the concert tomorrow, and it's been living at Coll since the last practice there (which I missed). As someone who's predominantly a singer, I've never really appreciated the virtues of new instruments, apart from "jesus your piano is out of tune!"...until now.
It's amazing! The tone's so much better! Instead of two octaves missing one key (bottom A), it's two octaves and a fifth missing one key (bottom F#)! MY GOD, I LOVE IT. I WANT TO PLAY IT FOREVER as long as I'm in orchestra. Cos, hey, I'm the only glockist who consistently comes to practice!
EDIT: Forgot to mention this in yesterday's update - I saw a Digimon fan in Pulsar yesterday! Judging from the fact that he had the tenth anni CD cover as the wallpaper on his laptop. I was so excited I flailed and am not putting this in my fandom journal like I should.
