Democracy sucks
Yesterday afternoon I adjudicated my first debate. Junior cert, Coll vs. St. Mary's (nix_the_fish-tachi's team) with Coll affirming "that taggers are the scourge of our communities". I'd been freaking out about crushing someone's dreams all day, and deciding the winner and allocating points turned out to be just as stressful as I'd imagined. :| Great debate, though! Especially for the first round of junior cert! I worry that I was too harsh, but I always do.
Today was the jubilee parade down to Civic Square. Apparently we walked fast, but it felt like it took a year. (Yes, "a million" or "fifty million", and "a year" for time are my favorite exagerrations at the moment.) mad_as_soup, bouncinpanda, and brokenwings07, sorry for disappearing; I just didn't want to miss the bus because the schedule is so retarded.
In LJ wank news: Interesting, interesting part two, and they've got a point. (I only skimmed. I am a failure as an activist and have only the energy to sit around making bad "in Soviet Russia" jokes.)
