Chris is not white trash

(short story I can't be bothered telling involving my trucker cap)

I managed to mention Ancient Rome on my drama exam. I weep now. There was this bit where you had to design a set based around a theme of your choice, and having been completely unpreprared for this (our drama teacher is not the most organized around), I spazzed out for a few minutes going [WHAT THE HELL?] and eventually drew a Roman theatre. I liked the script writing though, we had to write about three young women Selena, Kimberly, and Anne Marie a year out of school spending a day at the beach. My Selena was a music student who spent the entire just-over-a-page of dialogue babbling on about this guy she met at a performance ("...and he was like, hey you're Selena right, your aria was fantastic, and I was like, what are you kidding, I hated that song, and he's like, nah it was great, so are you doing anything tonight..."), Anne Marie was a bit anal about being called Anne Marie and was quite hardout at uni ("I have to have read this book by Friday."), and Kimberly had no real plans about her future and was wondering why Anne Marie was reading at the beach. After a bit of an argument between Anne Marie and Kimberly in which both shoebox_project ("Oh, god, look at the Prefect.") and bartending at a goth club in the dark were vaguely referenced, Selena, who had been babbling on the whole time, was finally all, "...and then he kissed me. ...Annie, Kimmy, are you listening?" I want that back now.

I mentioned Ancient Rome on my Latin exam too. There was a bit where you had to pick two out of four pictures and write "2-3 sentences" about them. I had to ask Mrs. Bryant if it was okay if I just wrote one really really long sentence. I do believe in commas. I do, I do.

And then after school (this is yesterday by the way) I went a bit mad about the word orgy. Hans was going about the Rangers meeting which is at her house next week and Chris started nudging everyone and I was like, "yeah, it's not Rangers, it's an orgy" and then me and Johanna spent the next few minutes going "orgy!!" at random moments and scared Sophie so much she hid behind me (before realizing I was the one who started it) and Chris (before realizing that he was the one who indirectly started it), and eventually had to resort to hiding behind the pole. Fun times.

I didn't like the math exam. I skipped two questions in Sections A and B (the ones you're supposed to attempt all of) and only did one Extension. What the hell.

Today I wore shorts for the first time in literally months (in summer I either wear skirts or jeans). I forgot my PE gear and had to go borrow Talia's. Even her shoes fit me! It was very surprising. And I forgot to return that tennis ball I stole last week (no, shoplifting is not going to become a problem for me), but I lost it anyway so whatever.

The Social Studies exam was TERRIFYING! It just went on and on (and on and on) and I DIDN'T FINISH and hell no one in our class finished, even the people who worked after the bell. I completely lost my head on Section B because this was when I had less than a period left and couldn't remember what the hell the WSPU was and OMD I wanted to finish so badly. I have never not finished a test/exam before. I like Social Studies. I am taking Social Studies next year. Unless I go and have another nervous breakdown and/or option clash and swap to Geography.

So after that I went and had a nervous breakdown in front of school, practically started crying down Mulgrave Street (I like Social Studies!), and then half an hour later I was actually happy again. It's official: Sabriel smells nice and calms me down I have the best friends and boyfriend in the world. Sophie, Talia, and Lydia are tremendous comic relief, there-there-ers, and bag carriers (okay that last one's really just Sophie). Chris really puts things in perspective:

Caryl: "MY SOCIAL STUDIES EXAM WAS TERRIFYING!!" *glomps*
Chris: *hugs* "Aw, was it trying to eat you?"
Caryl: *clings* "No..."

I don't really understand Talia's logic though: "You were nervous, and you broke down, but it wasn't a nervous breakdown!"

Oh well. It is over. FREEDOM!

By the way, what's all this about a booklaunch? I like books. *nudge nudge with no sexual inneundo*
