Summer's Last Gasp
Unless the weather really surprises us around Halloween, I think we've seen the last of summer weather. Today I was up at the storage unit, getting loaded for Planet Anime Kansas City, and dressed like I had been when getting ready for our early-summer conventions three months ago. Maybe it wasn't as crazy hot as it was back in late June and early July, but it was still hot enough that I went through several hydration drinks in the process, and I was very glad of my ranger hat.
In the next few days we're going to go from summer weather to temperatures more like late fall or early winter, albeit with sunny, dry weather. It's going to be interesting to see what Kansas City weather is like, since it's further west and further south, on the edge of the Ozarks.
