So of course, someone decides to run an article about a team needing money. The best part is highlighted:

The Asbury Park Pop Warner Midgets, whose players are ages 13 to 15, are attempting to raise as much money on their own before leaving Saturday to play in the Pop Warner National Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The team, coached by William Young, won the Midget Division II final last week over the Buffalo (N.Y.) Ravens.
Younger Asbury Park teams went to the championships in 2003 and the past two years, and Pop Warner president Kyle Weedon said the trip is going to be particularly meaningful for the older players this year. Six of the 24 players going this year made the trip last year with the Junior Midget team, Weedon said.
James Famularo, one of the assistant coaches and the assistant city manager, said the team members and eight coaches are each responsible to raise $200 for the trip.
They already have $7,000 in hand from fund-raisers and from the Jersey Shore Pop Warner organization, leaving them about $4,000 short on an expected cost of $17,000 for the team's housing at the Disney complex.
Coaches plan to drive the players to Florida instead of flying because the cost was prohibitive, Weedon said.
"The reason why this is so much more special is because these are older kids we could lose two or three years from now because of the (street) violence," Weedon said. "This trip is going to do wonders for this organization."
He said the organization is working to strengthen ties to business and corporate sponsors.
Donations for the trip can be made to Asbury Park Pop Warner and sent to the Asbury Park Recreation Department, c/o Leesha Floyd, City Hall, One Municipal Plaza, Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
