Profound, Passionate Desire

She wanted.  She wanted everything.  She wanted love, but she wanted so much more than that.  Love is an earthly feeling, she thought.  She wanted day and night.  She wanted the whole world, the whole universe, and nothing satisfied her.  She was hungry, she was thirsty.  She wanted to take life by the neck and squeeze the juice out of it.  She wanted to breathe in the open night sky.  She wanted the stars.  She couldn’t settle for less.  She never wanted to stay in one place.  She wanted to run.  She wanted to fly.  She wanted to close her eyes and simply feel.  She didn’t want to think.  She wanted pure emotion.  She wanted to feel everything.  She wanted more than she could ever imagine or explain.  She wanted what couldn’t be put into words.  She yearned.  It was a desperate yearning.  A profound, wild desire for the inexplicable.  She wanted to be free.
