Happy Birthday Kazuya! / Thoughts on "Love yourself"

Feb 23, 2010 22:19

I meant to make this blog post yesterday, but I was rushing to put up the birthday message on the website first since that takes a bit more priority.  So anyway, I wasn't late since I made the update on KAT-TUN Fever yesterday, but I guess I'm late here. :( (Although it's still February 23rd where I am right now!)  I didn't make any wallpaper this year, but I did manage to finish the lyrics to "Love yourself".  :)  I know, it's probably been translated by so many people by now, but I don't tend to do my translations until I get my own copy and this time I got it pretty late.  Luckily, I still made it in time.  Yea.  If you're interested, you can find my version on KAT-TUN Fever.

Talking about the single, I can't decide which one is my most favorite between "Love yourself" and "THE D-MOTION".  I like both.  As for the solos, I really liked Kazuya's voice in "Aishiteiru kara".  He has such a great voice.  However, I didn't find the melody of the ballad to be that great.  I still like 1582 more.  Jin's solo on the other hand had a great melody (he's really good at composing songs), but I didn't like how it sounded as if he was rapping throughout the song.  So I would say I liked the main songs on the single more.  There's also "HEART BEAT".  Some people don't like it because it's too Arashi-like, and some people just like it.  I'd say it's not an Arashi-like song, but a typical Johnny's-song. :)  In fact, it reminds me more of SMAP's style than Arashi.  Didn't think much of it on the first listen, but since playing it a couple times, it has grown on me and I'm beginning to like it more and more.  Great single overall and loved the fact that they didn't mess up the cover. :D

Anyway, here's a graphic to celebrate Kazuya's birthday.  Happy B-Day!
