Son of a....!
I'm going to be dramatical now! But it's a "gosh darn it" kind of dramatical. If you don't want to read about Lauryn's exciting life in LA and how it involves drama, then stop now....
So I'm doing well out here. I do shows all the time; unpaid shows, but shows none the less. This weekend, I am going to Seattle with one of my teachers to do a piece for a cancer research benefit. I was all excited, until a couple of hours ago, when I got this email from Ryan Lohoff (tapper EXTRORDINAIRE!) I've worked with him a couple of times in the last year. Apparently the casting director of America's Best Dance Crew contacted him because she wants him to pull together a crew of tappers to audition this Friday at 1pm. He was trying to get me because he knows that I'm a tapper who is used to his style and can also hit different styles of dance so that we could hold our own against the hip hop crews on the show!
Now, at first I thought it was just him trying to reach all the tappers in LA who he knows, but soon after I got a text from my friend who knows Ryan's sister. Apparently she contacted him specifically to get my phone number because he wanted to find ME specifically!
ARGHHHHHH!
Guess who can't audition because she's going out of town this weekend for an unpaid dance show in Seattle?!?!
I have an opportunity to audition for Dance Crew, and I can't do it! I'm so so soooo upset!
Yes, I know it's just an audition, but the fact that he went out of his way to try and find me is amazing! He is RIDICULOUS! My jaw drops whenever I watch him tap dance, and now this is a missed opportunity.
*sigh*
It'll work out, I'm sure.
