I love fall! :) Today's update is a preview of my brain:
Life
- Got a marketing internship.
Yay! I'm starting today or tomorrow (remotely). If the company likes me, I might get upgraded to part-time or full-time work. I'm taking it slow and steady. :) - Finally deposited a reimbursement check I got two months ago.
Waited so long because I didn't want to look for my deposit slips. #barriers - Going to apply for a credit card today.
Financial responsibility, continued. - Possible get-together with friends tomorrow.
Last-minute rush, but might be the only chance I get to see my friend Kevin until who knows. - Driving down to SoCal for Thanksgiving.
Looking forward to honey-baked ham, pumpkin pie, and lots of laughs. :)
Church
- Fresh off an awesome church retreat. Preparing a song for Christmas service.
Heart challenges, vocal warm-ups, and daily devotionals. (Not as formulaic as it sounds.)
Sports & Entertainment
- The 49ers are 9-1.
Heck yeah! Being a fan for all these years is so worth it. #footballlove - Debating whether I should buy Kelly Clarkson tickets for when she comes to San Jose on 3/27.
(This is my sister's spring break, so we can go together!) It's been six years since I've seen Kelly in concert. Where did the time go? - Terra Nova = getting worse. Once Upon a Time = getting better.
I watch too much TV. Psych and NCIS continue to be the highlights, but The Mentalist is having a strong season too. I also watched The Vampire Diaries for my close friend Pamela. I know she appreciate sit. =P - Loving Neil Gaiman's Smoke and Mirrors anthology.
He is my literary hero at this moment. His talent and imagination are ridiculous. #genius - Reading Allegiance to get inspired for sga_santa. Waking up early to write.
I might need to watch a few episodes of Stargate Atlantis again to nail down the character voices. The research never ends.
... Yeah, I'm not really sure how I function either. I am glad that I've been more ruthless with my time lately. I cap the amount of time I spend on any given activity and force myself to move on once time runs out. This ensures that I don't waste a whole day on one activity; I actually get to read, write, watch TV, and be productive.
In turn, I find myself getting less distracted and wanting to work instead of watching music videos or TV episodes. I'm a master of one-pointed attention. If I'm focusing on a specific task, I won't do anything else. I can't split my attention. It's very useful when I need to get things done.
All right, I need to go off and run some errands now. I hope everyone has a lovely week and holiday season! *hugs*
