(no subject)
I am now officially an intern at Re-sources!!
I got the email a a few minutes ago :) i thought she was going to call, so I saw the email and got bummed. then when i read it, it said the position is mine. yippeee!
this means i will need to pick up my game substantially. homework on weekends, classes and internship on weekdays. I think I can do it, I will just need to be mroe organized and driven. in a way, it might be easier to get everything done because i will be more focused.
Other good news: my concentration is nearly final and submitted to my chair. I am over halfway done with the quarter. I have been given overrides for two classes i really wanted to get into for next quarter: agroecology and sustainable agricululture, and forestry-fish interactions. I am taking 15 credits next quarter and I don't start until 1 pm every day, so i will be able to fit in the internship easily.
I woke up this morning to go to the bathroom (which i never do in the middle of the night) and the power was out. I looked out the window and saw a huge fire, the top floor of the middle school 3 blocks from my house had huuuuge flames. It was crazy. when i walked to the bus stop i felt drops from the fire hose spray me. As my bus rode past it this morning, I saw that all the windows had been busted out and it had burned the whole top floor. apparently its a historic building, one of the oldest in washington, from 1903 or something. it's entrance says: "Waste not thy hour"
